Classes

Amanda currently offers art classes at Chastain Arts Center or in your home!

Chastain Arts Center Schedule:

Doodles                                 Ages 2- 4 
This parent-child class allows young artists and thier grown-up friends the opportunity to explore, create, and make a mess!  Projects include hot-air balloons, piggy banks, car painting, printmaking, clay projects, and much more.  Classes offered Mondays- Wednesdays 9:30-10:30.

Sketches:                   Ages 4-6  
Add some extra art to the week! Students will explore a variety of art techniques, including printmaking, sculpture, painting, and collage. Come have fun making art and friends!  Classes offered Tuesday and Wednesday 2:30-3:30.

Storytime Studio:           Ages 5-10
Spend the afternoon listening, dreaming and creating. Students will paint, draw, sculpt, print, and collage artwork inspired by classic short stories read in class. Class offered Monday 4-5:30.

Kids' Multimedia Art:           Ages 6-12
An afternoon class that covers it all! From painting to printmaking, collage to clay, we'll experiment with different art methods and learn a little about the artists that use them.  Class offered Wednesday 4-5:30.

Sculpture for Kids:         Ages 6-12
Wire, clay, paper mache! Create artwork in 3 dimensions. Pinch pots, puppets, Rodins, robots, functional and found-object art are just a few of the fabulous projects we’ll explore in this class. Class offered Tuesday 4-5:30.

New in 2010!  Art for All    Ages 5 to 105
 Play. Experiment. Create. Take a class with your mom or dad, son or daughter, grandma or grandpa.  No one's too grown-up for papermache, fingerpainting, or glueing!  Rediscover the potential of glitter, collage, piecleaners, and construction paper.  Learn the secrets of homemade paste and clay.  This all-ages mulitimedia art class may include projects like masks, fairytale paintings, circus sculptures and art games.  Don't miss out!  Classes start January 12th at Chastain Arts Center.
